Strawberry Banana Bread

Here’s a quick recipe for a delicious treat I made the other day. This bread is a good way to sneak in some fruit and I like that it’s not too sweet so it’s good for breakfast or for a snack. The recipe is also low in added sugar as well as low fat! I think I might try this again and add some protein powder and use only whole wheat flour. I’ll keep you posted!


  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil or olive oil
  • 2 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1 cup strawberries chopped
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Mix In:

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Cool, cut and enjoy!

    I am going to try your recipe. I love banana bread and wanted to find a healthy version. Did you ever try it with all whole wheat? Sometimes all whole wheat comes out too mushy, but I will try it if yours came out good :) Thanks!
