39 Weeks Pregnancy Workout Video

Hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend!!

Still no baby yet and I have been a feeling a combination of awesome and terrible all weekend. Hopefully that means it’s almost time. :)

We had a great weekend (was it my last weekend before becoming a mom???). We got to spend some time with friends that we haven’t seen in awhile and I also got to spend some time alone with hubby. We saw Bridesmaids which was hillarious and also saw the Hangover II which was funny, but not as funny as the first one!

I’m still getting in workouts most days. Here’s a video from Saturday morning (I was 39 weeks and 2 days pregnant). Currently, I’m 40 weeks and 5 days. Just 2 days away from the 40 week mark and 3 days away from my official due date. Hitting up the doctors office this morning and we’ll have to see if they have anything interesting to report.

Here’s the workout:

  • Kettlebell Goblet Squats (18K Kettlebell)
  • Elevated Push Ups
  • TRX Body Rows
  • Single Arm Kettlebell Swings Right (12 K Kettlebell)
  • Single Arm Kettlebell Swings Left (12 K Kettlebell)

I did each exercise for 40 seconds and rested for 20 seconds between exercises. I repeated this entire workout 4 times for a total of 20 minutes.

Check out the sweet Mother’s Day Shoes (Chuck Taylors). :)

  1. I recently posted about my pregnancy workouts on my fitness blog and was curious what other pregnant ladies in the fitness industry had out there. I came across your site and was impressed. Great site, great videos, we have a lot of similarities and I am glad to have found you! Regards!

Mandy … just did your 39 weeks workouut and it felt great! I am due tomorrow and have also had some good workout days and some really bad ones lately, but I really wanted to do something today so I gave it a shot. LOVED it! Great little sequence and I feel really good now. Off to my doctor’s appt shortly so let’s hope it helped progress things along too =)

  3. Great article! What are your thoughts on the Pregnancy Fit Kit? Their website is http://www.PregnancyFitKit.com I was thinking about getting one because a friend just loves hers. Thanks for sharing your insight.

    Hi Amanda,

You’re almost there! Keep up the great work! I’m a few days away from my third trimester and I think you are doing an amazing job!

I wanted to start doing your kettle bell workouts but have never used a kettlebell before. What weights would you recommend? I’m in the market for a lighter and heavier kettlebell. I’ve been training using 5lb and 8lb free weights for a 45 min – 60 min workouts during my pregnancy. Any recommendations that you have would be more than helpful! Thank you so much for your postings! It’s so great to see other mom’s to be that are working out hard and are not letting pregnancy slow them down. You’re such an inspiration!

    • I’m so sorry for not getting back to you sooner Jess! I ended up having my baby and I have been a little busy/distracted to say the least. :) So thrilled for you that you’re in your third trimester and still working hard! My advice for you with kettlebells (even more so since you are pregnant and looking to start) is to start very slow and it would be really beneficial for you to see an RKC to learn proper form. My husband is one if you are interested in scheduling a session to go through the basics. Let me know if you need any help or have any more questions!

Another great references is Pavel’s Enter the Kettlebell Book/DVD.

  5. I give you such credit for working out right up until your due date! I hope I can be as active as you if I ever get pregnant! So inspiring!

  6. You’re amazing… With as active and in shape as you are- I just know you’re going to have the easiest labor ever :)
